PAUL EGO
One of NZ’s most experienced and impressive comedians, PAUL EGO has been delighting crowds for years with his famously quick wit, both onstage and onscreen.
After winning the Billy T Comedy Award in 2000, Paul enjoyed award winning radio stints on both More FM and The Rock, before jumping across to TV with his role as Team Captain on the hugely popular TV comedy panel show ‘7DAYS’.
When not performing as himself, Paul also uses his voice to bring ‘Stickman’ to life for the PAK'nSAVE supermarket chain.
Long before he became a household comedy name, Paul hit stages throughout his teens singing in musical productions and with his band ‘The Yes Men’.
Although he eventually left music behind for standup comedy, Paul reignited his love of singing when he performed as ‘Mantis’ on reality singing competition ‘The Masked Singer NZ’
Still touring his stand up comedy on a regular basis, Paul is a highly sought-after MC and feature act, his charisma and humour generating glowing reviews from clients and audiences alike.
Paul has been happily married to his wife Janine for over 30 years and they have two grownup sons.
It’s been said that he loves his family almost as much as he loves being a comedian.
